My mother (ya I know, I started my post by talking about my Mom) tells me I that I listen to depressing music. This song would be a perfect example… except that it gets so jovial after the initial minute, it even sounds like people are clapping along! As for some of the other of La Dispute’s songs, I wouldn’t characterize them as “happy” or “sad”… more like “angry” and I definitely would NOT play them for my mother. If you’re into “depressing” tunes like me though, check out “Nine” and “Ten”.
