Maybe it's the way Alex Schaaf's voice is softly synthesized to sound like he's talking through glass or water or in some secret aquatic animal signals. Maybe it's the majestic percussion that drive the song in homage to the massive mammal. Or the way the percussion stop, giving way to the amplified guitar strings, signaling a possible change in point of view. Maybe its simply the way the song culminates with the splendor of the tumbling crash of a wave.
Maybe its just a damn beautiful love song.
